I showed a handyman who’s good at electoral work a light fixture and asked him to replace it with a fan. At first he said no problem, but later he thought about it and said it would be a much bigger job (has to cut open part of the ceiling around fixture, etc.) Not sure what he was talking about but he wants 0 just for the labor. Wonder if I’m getting ripped off.

In every Japanese apartment, building, home, office, I’ve ever been in, why is the light to the toilet, always on the outside of the room? In she states, it is always in the room, just like every other light. In my place of work in Japan + in my friends homes + mine, the light to the bathroom is outside the door, so one can turn on the light before entering. Why?
any insight into this? My Japanese friends said they have never noticed before? They have never thought about it. Why is this a feature in Japanese homes?

it is a beautiful apartment complex and it is modern looking and a light cream and light colors and is modern. and there is nice folaige and they are ruining this place by painting it!!!!! Is there anyway I can get them to stop painting it, legally like a petition signed by neighbors to stop and take it to court ,and then i will be evicted right????
Because everytime I touch it I get a nasty little shock, or when I touch the light switch. It hurts too, it like f—-ing door.
Is there anything I can do to stop getting shocked.

I’m going to start up a 37 gallon fish tank and i want to plant the hell out of it, but i need to know how much lighting and what type of lighting i should get. the cheapest thing i could find was a T-5 Twin lighting fixture for 68 dollars that outputs 48 watts
Will that be sufficient, i don’t want to spend to much money, over 100 dollars is allot for lights
Does anyone have any suggestions on a lighting strip or something i could get
!NOTE! = i want to grow mid to high light plant
The candle bottom is flat, but it’s in a round-bottom wall sconce (like an upside-down bell). The candle column is thin enough that it tops over occasionally. Any tips to keep it upright?
