It has to be big, durable and not that pricey, and I intend on putting fabrics on it(think patchwork quilts) to make it look more individual-ish so a light, and earthy color is appreciated so that i have a lot of options for the fabrics and designs.

This the second one this month. I live in an old house and I’ve pulled out two pull chains from ceiling light fixtures. I would really like to fix or replace it but need step by step instructions. Or can you tell me who I can call to help me do so?
I’m replacing some standard dimmers with Lutron Maestro IR dimmers and I’m not sure if I should purchase the "single-location" dimmer or "multi-location" dimmer. The 2 dimmers I’m replacing are in on gang-box and control two different sets of recessed lights in my tv room. Since I don’t know much about this electrical stuff, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have three switches all in a row in my bathroom. The first is for the light, second for the fan and third for the heat lamp.
When I first moved into the house all the switches went downwards to go ON (showing the little orange dot to indicate they are on). However a few days later the first light switch went the opposite way, up to go on, and down to go off.
A few days later they were back to normal, however a few more days later the first light went back to being the wrong way.
Also on a similar matter, sometimes when I turn my outside light on it stays on, and other times it will act light a sensor light and go on and off.
What could be causing this?
Light colors such as pink, khaki, and white are good, but gray would also work as well. Think Victorian/1920s era clothing and you’re on the right page .the Victorian era -which was all about mute, understated colors in rich fabrics (like silk, cotton, satin, velvet).
