Can’t remember the restaurant I saw them at (Outback maybe?), but I’m trying to find regular incandescent light bulbs for the pendant light over my kitchen pub table. The thing is, we’re tall and the light is sorta glaring and harsh since our heads are close to the shade/fixture. I want a bulb that has an opaque coating on the bottom, so the light isn’t bright straight down, but still generates light to the sides. Make sense? Product name? Brand/model? Thanks!

I have an open kitchen/ Dining room. In my dining room I have a brass and alabaster chandelier. I want to put a chandelier above my island in the kitchen. I have stainless steel appliances. Also if you can get any pictures of nice ones that would work, that would be great. Also, should I use silver knobs on my cabinets?

I know you can use simple light fixtures by doing this, but I want to know specifically about the photo or motion sensors. Due to the position on an outside wall, I can’t use a transformer. If it won’t work without a transformer I’ll just buy a model without photo / motion sensors and use 220v bulbs.

I was putting a "tap" onto our chandelier so we could use xmas lights on it and I forgot to turn the electricity off. It had a small spark, flipped a breaker, and now wont turn on. Every other light on the fuse will turn on except the chandelier. The bulbs are all fine.
the way that thing swings back and forth est quite mesmerizing.
We currently have a long fluorescent light fixture in the middle of out kitchen. It’s ugly, gives off terrible lighting, and you can see when bugs get caught in there. Anyway, I’d like to put in a new fixture, but would like some advice on the best type that looks nice and gives good lighting. It’s approximately 50in long.
I have seen on various design shows, light fixtures that look like a tree branch. Has anyone seen these and if so do they know where I can find one. Thank you!
