If an area based on the lighting design is having a 200 lux reading as its average illumination level, can one directly measured it using a light meter and would the reading be 200 lux as what have been designed?

during a lighting storm. it was in my phsyics exam aqa and i got it wrong please help

I am interested in a plain kota doria sari (or perhaps lengha choli) in white,off-white, ivory, gold, moon, jasmine or other light colors. I don’t mind simple/elegant embroidery, but I do not like very lively designs. If you can recommend a seamstress or tailor who would be able to do this, that would work as well.

This is for an event that will be held outside, so both comfort and style are important.

I somehow got roped into doing the lighting for the amateur company I’m a part of. I know enough about lighting to do a basic show design and the equipment needed etc, but the director wants a cyc and I do not have any experience with them at all (I’m usually just the stage manager aha).

I have a bad back and most the pressure is in my lower back. A rolly back pack would be a pain in the ass in the hallways so Im trying to search for a different design that would be lighter on my back. Thanks!

I’d appreciate your opinions on that. My friend thinks they’re tacky, but I don’t. I’m making a card for my graphic design business; it’s a dark gray with abstract lighting with white logos asymmetrically layered over it, with simple words in a light teal so it’s not monochromatic.

I have worked in many school productions, and a few professional shows, and I love it!
I wanted to know the best way of getting my name put out there, and the best way to ensure I get some jobs out of it, This really is the way I want to go, I have had loads of experience. But I’m getting more once I turn sixteen. I have had a look at college courses designed for lighting, and apparantely there is some form of university on Lighting and such.
I would just like a bit of guidance please and any information you can spare me.

I just bought a new home – love the floor plan but not the kitchen. The previous owners have put granite floors, stone tiles for countertop, maple cabinets and white appliances. The ganite is black with brown spots like pattern – it is similar to the photos posted in the previous discussion named "Kitchens I have designed". The countertop is light brown with brown grout and the maple cabinets are the light colored kind. If you can imagine it – nothing goes together in the kitchen.

I am not sure if I want to change the granite floors as that extends to the family room (open plan). Currently the walls are beige and I am planning on changing that to brown (not very dark but dark). What else should I change in the kitchen to make it look look beautiful? I am looking around in the forum and see very talented and creative people here – so, I am hoping to get some opinions about this. Please do let me know. I really appreciate it!

I’m an art history major, and there’s a concept in art designed in Rome i believe where dark stone was used ont he bottom of a building and light colored stone was used on the top to give the feeling of the strong holding up the weak. it was a concept later played with by Michelangelo during his Manneristic period. can anyone help me out here? i can’t find it in my notes.
chiaroscurro is the use of shading, tenebroso is a darkened picture, neither of those are what i’m looking for. i kno wht those r.

My boyfriend and I are moving into an apartment together. We’re combining a lot of our current furniture as we don’t want to buy a new set of furniture until we actually get a house. Well, this means we have a lot of mismatched stuff and I want to find a way to make it all flow, lol. He has a tan couch and I have a light blue recliner. I want to buy some throw pillows to kind of bring the two together. What color/design would you recommend?
