I just moved into a house that has low voltage track lighting…or at least that’s what the guy at Lowe’s told me when I showed him one of the lights. I’d like to replace the light fixtures, but Lowe’s doesn’t carry them. Where is a good place to get these things? I’d like a modern look as opposed to the old can & bulb set up I have.

I know there is no 3-way LED bulb yet. My 3-way light fixture can be set to use 50, 100 or 150 watts. Can I replace the old bulb with LED bulb and keep the setting on 50 watts permanently? The LED light bulb actually just consumes 6 watts in this case.
I just read an article that if a regular bulb is used with a 3-way switch. Should set it to "medium".

I made an offer on an REO, but since then and waiting for a response from the bank, the home owner has taken all the light fixtures and the security system. Can I lower my offer during escrow because he stripped the place, or am I stuck with taking the place "as is"?

My house was built in 1964, and there is an old simple fixture in the front entry area ceiling. Would a hanging light look best in this area? If so, what kind would you recommend?
