Hi,
I am an artist and have an idea for a large scale piece of Art that lights up! One that would look fantastic and so hip over a large couch in a chic apartment or home or as an eye-catcher in a cafe or restaurant. I am wondering where are the best places in Las Vegas to pitch the idea and see if they would want to sell/hang the piece if I made it. I can sketch it in full color and detail. Does anyone know of furniture stores that are always looking for hip and unique art/items to sell? I am hoping to get one up and then make more as they sell. I can custom make different sizes and colors. It’s a very stunning design and modern but elegant. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you were in a Napoleonic battle fighting army of about 80,000 men, what modern weapon would you choose to kill THE MOST men (or win the battle) in THE SHORTEST time ?
By modern weapon I mean tanks and airplanes too. Would you choose a galting gun, a tank , a light armor vehicle or something else ? Choose whatever you want and just tell me why.

My aunt is getting a new place soon & i wanted to paint her a gift. The other day we were looking for apts & she said she’s not planning on having a TV so i thought it would be a hella cool idea to paint a TV for her to put in the place where it would normally be in the living room.
What i was thinking was either a single large canvas or several small canvases that i would try to paint as a whole & then put right next to each other in a distorted way. I have never done anything like this & don’t think i could make that turn out very nice, so i think i’m going with the single canvas.
Also, for the screen of the television i was thinkjing of puting modern art- like boxes, lines, squiglies, zig zags & other geometric arrangments. Keep in mind, i am not such a good artist & i have to make this turn out nice so she could actually put it up w/o it making her place look shiity. This may take several trys.
Anyways, i am seeking out the advice of creative minded people to suggest to me what colors & shapes & types of things should go into this "television" screen. The frame of the televion will either be black or dark gray, & the buttons will be either round or squared (idk with one would work better with mostly squared art on the screen???)
One of her walls is going to be dark red in the living room.I was thinking of using really dark & really light colors (nothing in between). Maybe some blood red, black, white, lime green, dark blue, etc
Please let me kno what you think, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
Thank you SOOOOO much

airplanes
telephone
These are the big modern inventions, Also for bonus points, what country were they invented in and what is the political reason why these and more inventions were possible.

That could maybe shed a little light on the life of a modern day infantryman?
Also. Infantry is something i really want to be a part of. however im frequently warned against it for multiple reasons such as the difficulty finding a job outside the military, that life "sucks" during not war times and even during war times. i would kindly appreciate maybe a little info on both sides of this story. the good and the bad of being and retiring as an Infantryman of the Marine Corps.

If you wanted a modern look and wanted to hang up black and white pictures in black frames. My room is kinda small, but I want to change things up and put up some BW pictures like the generic ones they sell at walmart. I’m on a budget and was looking for some suggestions. Light colors.. dark would probably "shrink" my room.
Thanks! Also, ANY other suggestions on room ideas would be great.

although modern artists rightly rebelled against the rigid and mechanical academic art of the 19th century, what they sought to replace it with is equally bad – crudely executed canvases whose only selling point was the charisma and personality of the painters and the heady thrill of iconoclasm. evaluated solely as works of art, the paintings of picasso, matisse, kandinsky, klee, pollock, rothko, and almost any other 20th century artist you could name are lacking obviously and deliberately in drawing, but also in the sorts of things you might expect they could have easily pursued – arrangements of light and dark, and subtle color effects. In short, the works are ugly, and were you to look at details of the paint handling of delacroix, rembrandt, and turner you would find them to be far more satisfactory as abstract compositions than those of the modernists.

I want to paint my walls Victoria secret pink or light pink (like the color nardels from juicy couture). I’m a teenage girl and my room will be pretty girly, but modern and classy.
Which color?
