I’m decorating my new living room. The floor is a light-colored marble & walls are off-white. Most of my furniture is dark Burmese teak-wood with a simple, modern, Bali-type style designs. I’d love any advice on the patterns or colors of rugs I could be looking for that would complement this. Thanks!

My room is fair sized and modern but my furniture takes up a lot of space. I have two windows at one end with good enough lighting. I want to paint it dark purple, but people say it will make my room look dark. I’m matching it to this really comforter i have. Its 2 sided one side is striped with Dark purple, lime green blood red, a regular blue, yellow and pink. I really like purple. So if Dark purple will make my room look 2 small, what color should i use? Thank you

So I guess many modern cars are programmed to have the "maintainence required" light come on every so many miles?

In general should you take your car in for "maintainence" (beyond oil changes, filter changes, and new tires), or do you only need to take it somewhere if there’s a problem?

I tend to think it’s a ploy to get money, but I’m not sure, because I really don’t understand much about cars.

Light colors such as pink, khaki, and white are good, but gray would also work as well. Think Victorian/1920s era clothing and you’re on the right page .the Victorian era -which was all about mute, understated colors in rich fabrics (like silk, cotton, satin, velvet).
