I should have explained that this is an under cabinet light fixture. It is already falling down occasionally. The lens has become warped slightly over the years and does fit properly anymore.
Sorry – Does NOT fit properly anymore

The heat generated by light may be dangerous when put to close to something flammable. Always follow the manufacturers specifications.

they dont give off enough heat to harm duct tape did you lose the clip? THERES ONLY HEAT BUY THE BALLAST AND HEAT PIPES DO NOT DRY OUT THE DUCT TAPE! and it holds on a 200 mile an hour racecar front end by the 240 degree radiator!it will hold on a frikin light fixture!

you can use the duct tape but… the heat generated by the light will dry out the glue on the tape and it could come crashing down. So for that reason alone I would not use it. Even if a friend is over and it falls on them a law suite could soon follow.
Best to just get a new lens it is money well spent.

cheers

Not with any guarantee of safety since it may fall off.

What about using small plastic zip or cable ties. Unless your visitors decide to have a lie down on the worktops under the cabinets it shouldnt cause too much problem.

2 1/2 screws and a peace of wire
