I want to get a new light fixture, will installation be a problem if I buy a 3 light chandelier or 6 light chandelier? I may even hire a professional to install it, as I know nothing about this kind of stuff, but will they charge more if it is not a 5 light? Someone please shine some light on the matter for me (ba dum chh)

no it does not matter how many bulb fixture you replace it with. your preference.
As long as your old light fixture is not really really old, you can put up whatever fixture you want – the amount of lights should not matter. If you are really worried, head to the nearest hardware store and tell them what you are trying to do – they are the best source of info – usually.
It does not take a professional to change a light fixture. Just ask around for someone who can hook up wires – a new light fixture will have instructions in the box.
You can hang anything you like. A fan and 100 bulb chandelier, a spot light, a track light – whatever – as long as the weight won’t pull your ceiling down. You’ll need somebody to hold the light while you connect the wires.
But first – Make SURE you turn off the breaker.
On second thought, maybe you’d better call somebody. Electricity is nothing to fool with but when you see how easy it is to do you’ll kick yourself for not trying,
Watch a DIY video. If you’re not comfortable then call a pro. Watch how it’s done and try it next time.
