		<description>Are there screws inside the battery compartment.
It may only be one, possibly hidden under a label.  
One screw maybe all it takes for the whole assembly to unclip or twist apart. 
The newer they are the harder.
If an LED is the light source even harder, to replace.
Even after taking a hammer to some of these things I can&#039;t figure how they could be opened.
Bash a hole in it &amp; stick it on a lamp.</description>

I would get a screw driver and pry it open, by the battery area, then replace the batterys,,duct tape it back together.
I am not sure what a ceramic tree table ornament is, but it sure would be fun watching you take it apart..
don&#039;t make fun, but I would buy new light strings and glue them on (or in) , and hope no one noticed.</description>
