How to Install 3 pendant lights over island?

Category : Pendant Lighting

We have a new island and want to install 3 pendant lights above it. We have removed the old single existing light fixture however this hole is not in the correct location for the 3 new lights so we need to make 3 new "holes" and run the wiring for the new lights. Can anyone give us advice on how to go about this? The bedrooms/2nd floor is above the kitchen. Thanks!

first you wana make new holes in the new positions , bare in mind that there could be beams in the way tho , next you wana see if you can fish the existing wire into one of theese holes , i would take some flooring up above and see which direction the wire goes and try to make one of your new holes in that area when you get the wire into one of them you wana run new wire from the existing one to the next one and from that to the next one then connect em all to the new fittings

There are maybe 3 choices:
1. Open the ceiling, locate the boxes where you want them, run the wire in the ceiling and make the needed repairs.
2. Use a track lighting system to locate the lights where you want them.
3. Use a surface raceway like wire mold to locate the lights.
The experience that an electrician gains doing remodels is why they charge the rates they do. They can do the work with minimum disturbance of the building finish.
