the light in my bathroom started flickering and then went out. i tested for current to see if i got 110/120. no luck it had no power. its the light, one outlet, and the outlet in my front bathroom only. where do i start looking for the problem?

It sounds as if though you have a bad or loose connection in your lighting circuit. The next thing of course is the age of the house if built in the past 20 years it could have a GFCI in the breaker box or perhaps in the garage or in another bathroom if you have one. The 1st thing to check is the GFCI.
If you do not have a GFCI and the house is older then you have a trouble shooting problem light fixture wires, outlet wiring etc. If you re experienced with electrical theory and trouble shooting then you can check what is on the circuit for loose or bad connections.
If not please just call someone who does and have them check it for you.

You blew a fuse or tripped a circuit breaker. Go to the fuse box or circuit breaker box and replace any broken fuses or switch on any circuit breakers that are in the off position.
If you have a GFCI receptacle in one of your bathrooms, they may share a circuit protected by the GFCI, and it may be tripped. If so, reset it with the little black button and power should be restored.
If you don’t have GFCIs, then it may just be the circuit breaker in your main panel.
It most likely is a ground fault outlet (gfci) is tripped. If the outlets in either bathroom are not gffci outlets then they are on a circuit that has the actual gfci outlet. Gfci outlets should be in your kitchen around the counter top, in your garage, any exterior outlet. You just need to locate the outlet thats tripped.
