Green and brown go together. Look at nature! The ground goes with the plants, no?
blondie said on 22-12-2009
i think it would look fine no matter what shade, just make sure you dont get another color than the black/brown

Personally I would go for brown furniture as I think that black would be a stark contrast. Brown and green looks good, a natural combination but interesting.

Use a fresh leafy green and it would look very nice. Add a bright accent color

It should depending on the shade of light green. If you go for a muted shade, it would look very nice. I don’t think bright green would look as nice.
Black/brown and green combinations are found in nature so if you go with a leaf green it would probably match very well. I would accent it with a mustard yellow or a muted red/maroon.

i feel it would, if you want earthy colors. green and brown tend to go nicely, but you should prob. also put into consideration how much light will be getting in the room and how much the light will affect the room

I would do a different color on the walls like blue or a darker green…

No, it wouldnt MATCH but it would look good if you used a muted green. Pottery Barn has a lot of green this spring, check them out for ideas.

Yes, it would. The light green will compliment the very dark furniture perfectly.

I think that the black furniture would really match the light green walls. My brother has an apple green room with black, modern furniture and his room looks awesome!
emilou4 said on 22-12-2009
it would match wonderfully! green and black/brown are complimentary colors because of their gorgeous contrast in shade. If you are looking for a modern touch try leather or shiny materialed furniture with blunt edges and clean lines. A more cozy look would be achieved with a brown hue in the furniture. Over stuffed chairs and Round apholstry would look fantastic! of course it is up to you. When purchasing the furniture bring the paint swatch and try to match it up! If you still find difficulty, request help of an interior designer from ethan allen for example! best of luck

try using a neutral color on the walls and using the green as an accent instead of your main color…and i definitely wouldnt mix the black and brown…either one would look fine but together…eh…dont think it clicks
IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE GREEN.
