Brown & aqua are the hott color combo right now, so I would go with something like "aquatint" by sherwin williams:

Teal or fuscia look great with tans. along with orange. all three would be great accents to a tan wall.

Hello, if you like brown, the most modern color to pair it with is light blue. What kinds of furniture do you have? Since you want peaceful, you might want to go with the light blue on the walls and accent with brown accessories and/or bedding. Good luck!

light blues are very peaceful, and so are fuschia and oranges.

Chocolate brown and ice blue are still hot this year. Chocolate is a great idea because there are so many colors that compliment it that when you’re ready for a change you can do it inexpensively by changing your drapes, pillows, artwork etc. without having to re-paint, which is a pain!
