		<description>IC Rated recessed fixtures are &quot;insulation contact rated&quot;. You can directly bury them in contact with insulation, so no problem with 1/2&quot; clearance. 
Non-IC rated fixtures require three inches clear space from combustible materials(except for the mounting points).</description>
