Stay away from more pink.
Go with the white. It will look good without being over powering.

If you are going to all the expense of redoing most everything, why not go all the way and pick whatever color you want. Toilets are pretty easy to install compared to the rest of the work and you can get a tub insert that will be a color that you want. Or just buy a new tub.
If you go the whole way you will have a bathroom that you really want with no compromise on things to go with a crappy pink color, unless your choice is pink.
I had a half bath with a blue sink and toilet. The sink was set into a dark stained wood vanity with a wood looking floor. Main bath was a pale yellow tub and toilet with a cultured marble double sink. Master bath was a tan sink, toilet and shower.
Do whatever you want but don't cut corners and then live with it for years wishing that you had not.

If you're going to the expense of replacing the tile, fixtures and vanity, I have to wonder why you would keep an outdated pink toilet and tub? You can buy a new toilet for $100-$200, and buy a decent new tub for $200-$400, depending on style and material of course. Or, get the tub refinished for about $250...a pro can do it and it'll last 5-7 years depending on how hard you scrub it (I found a pro on Craigslist).

I would definitely, at the very least, replace the toilet because you can hide the tub behind a nice, clean shower curtain. Replacing a toilet is easy--> shut off water, remove toilet, replace wax ring, put on new toilet, screw it down, turn on water. Voila!

But if you insist on keeping the Pepto Bismal remants, I strongly suggest that you don't try to blend your other deco with it because you want to downplay the old and oudated, not accent it (unless you're going for a retro makeover). I would create a distraction from it with a fabulous vanity and uniquely shaped sink (square porcelain vessel sink atop an expresso colored table, for example).

Grays and whites go well with pink, but if you use gray then go with a dark wood vanity, like an espresso, mahogany, or cherry... lighter wood colors are in the yellow/brown family and yellow/brown tends to clash with gray. By the way, I would stay away from blue (unless it's dark blue or slate gray/blue) or it may look like a nursery in there with the pink and blue.

If it were my bathroom and money was tight, I would replace the toilet and refinish the tub so that I could go with ANY color combo on the tile, fixtures, and vanity and have a larger selection from which to bargain hunt. But, that's just me.

Another idea is to offer your pink tub & toilet for sale or trade on Craigslist and they have to remove it (I've mentioned Craigslist a couple of times here and I'm starting to realize that I may be a little addicted to it) ... maybe you'll find someone who wants to do a vintage, or 80s makeover, or wants it for their daughter's bathroom ... or maybe you'll find a kook who loves everything pink (I had a friend growing up whose Mom just had to have absolutely everything in their house pink including countertops, flooring, furniture, walls, ceilings, doors even the appliances were pink... it was dizzying...hmmm, I think I just had a breakthrough into why I hate pink so much...bad childhood experience with it) ;-p

I hope this helped!

I would think about replacing the toilet and bath tub if you are thinking of doing home improvement in there anyway. It shouldn't be that expensive and you will enjoy the benefits of having a bathroom looking nice the way you want it and the investment would help if you ever decided to sell your house...If not then I would say go as white as you can find. Hope this helps :-)
