If you don't know what tools you need then you need to find someone with the tools and knowledge to change the light. The florescent light can be replaced with a regular light.

Yes, you can remove the fluorescent and install a regular fixture, but I would suggest you obtain the help of a friend who knows how to do it and has the necessary tools.

Screw driver, ladder, wire nuts a fixture to repalace it with just do a wonderful job of making things neat before you repalce the fixture. ie repaint the ceiling etc. if necessary turn off electricity to that light fixture.

I am assuming you know how to do this yourself if not have a knowledgable friend help you.

Pull up your pants we say no to crack.

Yes you can do it yourself for sure. First and foremost, turn the power off via the breaker switch. Second, take down your existing fixture. You will need a screwdriver and maybe a pair of pliers. The new fixture is going to be wired up the same way as your existing fixture. Black wire to black wire, white wire to white, and connect the ground wire to the junction box. Some new wire nuts and some electrical tape will be needed as well!

Always make sure the power is turned off before anything is done!
