Example I have a 2004 suburban and can run both a/c’s, headlights, every light manageable, stereo and every accessory and no matter what the alternator charges at 14v with no surgest. While in older cars with modern upgraded wire harnesses from american autowire, drop with any accessory on such as electric fan, headlights, a/c… Could it be the aftermarket alternators aren’t up to par. The wire coming off the alt is 8gauge so no drop between the starter and alt. Anyone have any ideas or theories to fix this.

Well, consider this, "older" cars did not have the alternator output that vehicles do these days, it used to be that a 30 amp generator was a big generator, that’s not the case anymore. These are the days of 200+ amp AC generators, and computers that analyze every system on the vehicle and turn up the EVR to compensate at each new load is presented.
yes bigger and better alternators usually 75a to 125 amp…
